Issued by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA), the Student Pass is your visa to study full-time in Singapore. Here’s the full process.
The process
Once your institution issues an unconditional offer, they will register you with ICA for SOLAR.
Submit SOLAR (eForm 16 & V36)
Within 2 weeks of registration. We help you complete forms and prepare digital photos and documents.
Typically 2–4 weeks. IPA acts as a single-entry visa to enter Singapore.
Book flights, arrange accommodation, and prepare originals of all documents listed in your IPA letter.
Required for stays over 6 months. We arrange this at MOH-approved clinics in your first week.
Visit ICA with your appointment slip, IPA, passport and medical report. Your Student Pass is issued the same day.

Full-time international students at approved institutions can work up to 16 hours per week during term and full-time during vacation.
There is no fixed amount, but ICA expects evidence of tuition + ~SGD 12,000–18,000 per year for living expenses.
